The music video for Dynamite, the band\u2019s digital single released worldwide on Aug. 21, 2020, through HYBE Labels\u2019 YouTube channel, topped 2 billion views on Thursday. It is the first BTS video to reach the landmark figure.<\/p>\n
A bright and upbeat disco-pop track, Dynamite marked BTS\u2019s first full-English release. The video, blending an infectious rhythm with playful yet dynamic choreography, captures the group\u2019s signature energy while showcasing a breezy, feel-good concept.<\/p>\n
The milestone adds to the song\u2019s long list of global achievements. Just recently, Apple Music ranked Dynamite 34th on its list of the most-streamed songs worldwide over the past decade. Alongside Butter, it was the only K-pop entry in the ranking, underscoring BTS\u2019s enduring global reach.<\/p>\n
Upon release, the single set records as the first Korean act to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for three weeks. It later went on to win \u201cBest Song\u201d at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards and \u201cTop Selling Song\u201d at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards. In Japan, the Recording Industry Association awarded it Diamond certification for surpassing 500 million streams in record time.<\/p>\n
