The launch was accompanied by a report, \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youthmusic.org.uk\/excluded-by-design\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Excluded by Design<\/a>\u2018, which explains the barriers that these people face when accessing music and arts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn recent years, we\u2019ve seen some exciting innovation and progress when it comes to Disabled young people\u2019s access and inclusion in the arts. But change hasn\u2019t come fast enough,\u201d noted the report. \u201cToo many arts programmes for young Disabled people start from a place of pity. What Disabled people can\u2019t do, not what they can. The social model of disability is still not widely understood or adopted, despite having been around for 40 years.
