Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> and Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> are looking for a wedding venue, and the Governor of Rhode Island wants to bring the two back to the Ocean State.<\/p>\n

\u201cRhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, just saying.\ud83d\udc40,\u201d Governor Dan McKee<\/strong> wrote via X<\/a> on August 26 as he reshared the NFL\u2019s congratulatory message to the couple.<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement on August 26, posting a photo of Kelce\u2019s proposal via Instagram with the caption, \u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married \ud83e\udde8.\u201d<\/p>\n

And while Swift is originally from Pennsylvania and Kelce from Ohio, Rhode Island is not an unrealistic destination. Swift owns a $17.5 million mansion in Westerly, located in southwest Rhode Island on the Connecticut border.<\/p>\n

The eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom residence is currently under renovation<\/a>, but Swift has hosted a number of parties there, even welcoming Kelce, his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes<\/strong>, Blake Lively<\/strong>, Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> and Bradley Cooper<\/strong> last summer as she took a break from her Eras Tour<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Page Six<\/em> reported on Wednesday, September 3, that the couple is planning to get married in Rhode Island in the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regardless of where Swift and Kelce decide to tie the knot, they appear to be loving every minute of their time as an engaged couple.<\/p>\n
