\n\tEXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: Management company Evoke Entertainment<\/a> has signed a slew of new writer clients.<\/p>\n \n\tThe company, formerly known as Cartel Entertainment, has signed Coven Academy<\/em> showrunners Todd Slavkin<\/a> and Darren Swimmer<\/a>, My Oxford Year <\/em>writer Allison Burnett<\/a>, Outlander<\/em> writer Barbara Stepansky<\/a> and Coach Prime<\/em> director Micah Brown<\/a> for representation.<\/p>\n \n\tSlavkin and Swimmer are currently running Coven Academy,<\/em> which was recently ordered to series by Disney+ and the Disney Channel. They were previously showrunners of Hulu\u2019s The Mysterious Benedict Society<\/em>. They have worked on series including Shadowhunters, Smallville <\/em>and Melrose Place 2.0,<\/em> having begun their careers in features, writing Control<\/em>, starring Ray Liotta, Willem Dafoe and Michelle Rodriguez. Their upcoming film Homesick<\/em> is currently in early preproduction with Slavkin directing.<\/p>\n \n\tThe pair are co-represented by IAG.<\/p>\n \n\tBurnett wrote Netflix rom-com My Oxford Year<\/em>, which stars Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest, with Melissa Osborne. Other feature credits include Underworld Awakening<\/em>, Christian Slater-starring Ask Me Anything<\/em> and Bloodfist III: Forced To Fight<\/em>. He has also written eight novels.<\/p>\n \n\tStepansky was a writer and producer on four seasons of Starz\u2019s drama Outlander<\/em> and was the co-creator of Netflix German original Woman of the Dead<\/em>. Her film Flint<\/em> starred Queen Latifah and won her a WGA Award. Stepansky is co-represented by CAA.<\/p>\n \n\tFinally, Brown is a director, producer, and showrunner, who has worked in the sports entertainment world.
