Steve Gunn<\/a> just released a new album, the instrumental Music for Writers<\/em><\/a>, and he\u2019s already getting ready to release another. Daylight Daylight<\/em><\/a> is out November 7, via No Quarter<\/a>, and it\u2019s considered a more proper follow-up to 2021\u2019s Other You<\/em><\/a>. Below, listen to the new album\u2019s first song, \u201cNearly There<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gunn worked on Daylight Daylight<\/em> with longtime collaborator James Elkington. According to a press release, Gunn recorded solo demos and sent them to Elkington, instructing the producer to do whatever he pleased with the arrangements. Featured on the album are violinist and violist Macie Stewart, cellist Ben Whiteley, upright bassist Nick Macri, and woodwinds player Hunter Diamond.<\/p>\n

To go with his new album, Gunn has announced a North American tour that will take place in December and January. See all of his upcoming tour dates below.<\/p>\n
