Jen Affleck<\/a><\/strong> first caught fans\u2019 attention on the reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/a>. Viewers got to know her family life on screen, and she grew her following even more through her popular MomTok videos.<\/p>\n Life has only gotten busier since then. Jen and her husband, Zac Affleck, recently welcomed their third child<\/a>, a daughter named Penelope. Between the late-night feedings and juggling three kids, she is deep in the thick of postpartum life.<\/p>\n Now she is stepping into a whole new challenge with season 34 of Dancing with the Stars<\/a><\/strong>. For Jen, the ballroom is more than a TV competition. It has quickly become the outlet that\u2019s keeping her grounded and has given her something of her own during this stage of motherhood.<\/p>\n Jen says her new DWTS gig hasn\u2019t been simple. \u201cI\u2019m still in the thick of postpartum, staying up late, doing feedings and whatnot, so that\u2019s challenging. But honestly, if anything, it\u2019s been helping me,\u201d she told PEOPLE<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jen said the show is doing more than keeping her busy. \u201cI think if I didn\u2019t have Dancing with the Stars, I\u2019d probably be dealing with baby blues and potentially postpartum depression \u2026 So honestly, I\u2019m just grateful I have Dancing with the Stars.\u201d<\/p>\n She\u2019s always turned to dance as a way to cope. \u201cThe way that I\u2019ve coped through all of my babies has been through dancing, so the fact that I\u2019m now dancing on a real stage in front of millions of people makes this experience even more exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n But, rehearsals have taken a toll<\/a>, though. \u201cI have blisters on my feet and bruises all over my body. I\u2019m so sore. But at the same time, it\u2019s worth it because I\u2019m having so much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Her partner this season<\/a> is Jan Ravnik<\/a>, fresh off Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/a> Eras Tour. \u201cI have the best partner and I couldn\u2019t be happier,\u201d Jen said. \u201cIt\u2019s fun working with someone who has a lot of energy and is super positive. It\u2019s making this experience even better.\u201d<\/p>\n Her family is backing her all the way. \u201cI think my family, my husband and my kids are just happy to see me happy,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n And, there\u2019s a very familiar face competing. Her SLOMW castmate, Whitney Leavitt<\/a>, is competing too<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s been fun to have someone to lean on and someone who just gets it,\u201d Jen explained.<\/p>\n Jen said fans will see a new side of her this season. \u201cThey\u2019ll learn that I\u2019m a lot happier than what they\u2019ve seen on Secret Lives, and they\u2019ll get to see the realest, most authentic version of myself. They\u2019ll see me doing what I love to do, which is dance, and they\u2019ll see me not being involved in drama.
