Will Smith<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s new action comedy movie, titled Fast and Loose<\/a>, has found a replacement for Michael Bay<\/a>.<\/p>\n It was announced last month<\/a> that Bay had dropped out of directing Fast and Loose for Netflix<\/a> following creative differences with Smith. More specifically, the two reportedly disagreed on the tone of the movie \u2014 Bay wanted to emphasize the action aspects, while Smith wanted to lean into the comedy.<\/p>\n \u201cThe film is about a man who wakes up in Tijuana with no memories,\u201d a description of the plot reads. \u201cAs he pieces together his past, he learns he\u2019s been living two lives: one as a crime kingpin and the other as an undercover CIA agent.\u201d<\/p>\n Per Deadline<\/a>, Fast and Loose is now being directed by John Swab<\/a> instead of Bay.<\/p>\n \u201cGiven Smith\u2019s busy schedule, the studio had to stick to the production schedule and took meetings with several candidates before landing on Swab, who blew away not only the studio execs but the star of the film as well,\u201d the outlet reports.<\/p>\n Fast and Loose will easily be Swab\u2019s most high-profile project, as his past filmography includes titles such as 2016\u2019s Let Me Make You a Martyr, 2019\u2019s Run with the United, 2021\u2019s Body Brokers, 2021\u2019s Ida Red, 2022\u2019s Candy Land, 2023\u2019s Little Dixie, 2023\u2019s One Day as a Lion, 2024\u2019s King Ivory, and 2024\u2019s Long Gone Heroes.<\/p>\n While Bay may be out, Bad Boys producer Jerry Bruckheimer<\/a> has boarded Fast and Loose as a producer. Smith, Chad Oman, David Leitch, Kelly McCormick, and Adam Fishbach also serve as producers, while executive producers include Kosaku Yada, James Lassiter, Robert Simonds, Noah Fogelson, Jeff Waxman, and Jen Madeloff.
