Jenna Bush Hager admits she had to miss her kids’ first day of school<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
The talk show host said that although she was sad, her kids sent her a photo of themselves before school<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

Jenna Bush Hager<\/a> may have had to miss her kids’ first day of school, but they made sure to send her a photo to make up for it.<\/p>\n The Today with Jenna & Friends host shared on a Thursday, Sept. 4 episode that her kids went off for their first day of the new school year. She shared a photo of her three kids \u2014 daughters Mila, 12, and Poppy, 10, and son Hal, 6 \u2014 which showed them holding up signs that read which year they were going into.<\/p>\n \u201cI made them hold those signs,\u201d Bush Hager said. \u201cKinder, seventh grade and fourth grade, which I can\u2019t believe. So to miss the first day was hard, but the other thing is, kids are so resilient,” she continued. “Humans are so resilient.”<\/p>\n Bush Hager said she was able to call her kids and get an update on how their first day went.<\/p>\n “I called and I\u2019m like, \u2018Hey, how was the first day?\u2019 And Hal was like, \u2018It was so different than pre-K. Kindergarten is so much harder,’ ” she explained. “And then I talked to Mila, and she was like, \u2018I already have homework! Seventh grade is so hard!\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, these kids are alright.’\u201d<\/p>\n At the end of August, Bush Hager shared an\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0video post featuring family photos from her Italy vacation<\/a>. The\u00a0Today With Jenna & Friends\u00a0host posed alongside her husband Henry Hager and their three kids.<\/p>\n The family of five visited several historical sites, from Roman basilicas to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, even sampling authentic Italian gelato.<\/p>\n “We \u2764\ufe0f Roma!
