Holden and Claire are joining forces. The Young and the Restless<\/em> star Hayley Erin couldn\u2019t be any more excited to see more of their dynamic play out. She believes that Holden could bring out a new side of Claire that viewers haven\u2019t seen yet.<\/p>\n Ever since she set foot in Genoa City, Claire (Hayley Erin) experienced her first love with Kyle (Michael Mealor). She\u2019s made some new friends, as well as enemies<\/a>. One of those friends is Holden (Nathan Owens), who will defend her against Audra (Zuleyka Silver)<\/a>.<\/p>\n Will Claire actually cheat on Kyle with Holden? Will the two eventually end up together? In an interview with Soap Opera Digest<\/a><\/em>, Erin teased what fans could expect next with this duo. Obviously, she\u2019ll be confused by her feelings for two men in her life.<\/p>\n \u201cThis friendship with Holden is something completely different. And I think it\u2019s really confusing for Claire because she trusts him for some reason off the bat because he was really supportive to her when Kyle wasn\u2019t there, and she was really lonely and going through something really tough,\u201d Erin explained.<\/p>\n The two will be \u201cbonded\u201d by their hatred of Audra. But Claire quickly realizes that Holden isn\u2019t what he seems. He has a questionable past<\/a> with her archenemy. \u201cBut Claire is very headstrong in her ability to read people, and she feels incredibly justified in her friendship with him,\u201d Erin noted.<\/p>\n Later in the interview, Erin teased Claire\u2019s growth, which will be evidenced on the soap. She\u2019s at a crossroads in her relationship with Kyle, especially since Audra tried to break them up. And now she\u2019s trusting Holden more than Kyle.<\/p>\n \u201cI have enjoyed their scenes together from the very beginning when we were getting the vespers at the GCAC,\u201d Erin said. \u201cHe would be asking her questions, and she\u2019d be kind of like, snippy with him, almost.\u201d Then she added, \u201cAnd then you introduce this other character, and you get to see this kind of more biting side of her.\u201d<\/p>\n When Claire was treated for being brainwashed by Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), she bought into the \u201ctoxic positivity.\u201d Now, she\u2019s becoming more like her real self as she gains her self-confidence. \u201cSo I think she\u2019s kind of been a little bit, maybe more herself around him.
