Hall, who recently finalized his divorce<\/a> from his ex-wife, HGTV star Christina Haack<\/a>, went on to reveal that he adopted the female dog as a puppy from a litter that had contracted canine parvovirus, or parvo. This highly contagious viral illness affects the cardiac and intestinal systems of dogs and wolves. Of her litter, Stella was the only pup to survive parvo.<\/p>\n“I was originally set to get a male, but when I saw her little face behind the fence and we locked eyes, I was done\u2026from that moment on, she owned me,” wrote Hall.<\/p>\n
He continued to honor the late dog in the caption, calling her “the most loving and sweetest dog I’ve not only cared for” and his “only constant.” He also went on to describe the pet’s health battles and resilience.<\/p>\n
