And, with The Lowdown<\/a>, Reservation Dogs<\/a> creator Sterlin Harjo<\/a> is staking a claim as the state\u2019s TV laureate (to differentiate him from Joy Harjo<\/a>, no relation and our former national poet laureate).<\/p>\n

A shaggy dog mystery-comedy in the vein of Terriers<\/a> and Lodge 49<\/a> \u2014 which is to say \u201cvery much my jam\u201d and \u201cvery much destined for niche viewership\u201d \u2014 Harjo\u2019s follow-up to one of television\u2019s great half-hours of the decade\/century\/ever is still finding its way, based on the five episodes sent to critics. And \u201cits way\u201d is an endearingly meandering way, one in which the murder mystery at its center is only meant to be loosely compelling.<\/p>\n
