Tom Holland reckons Spider-Man producers got “absolutely sick” of him bringing fans’ ideas into development meetings for Brand New Day.<\/p>\n
The British actor, who has starred as the web-slinging superhero in three standalone films, had a much greater involvement in the development process for his fourth solo outing.<\/p>\n
Holland revealed to LADbible that he went on deep dives on the Internet to see what fans wanted, and those ideas were his “driving force” in development meetings.<\/p>\n
“I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that’s been my driving force in these pitch meetings,” he shared. “I think the producers, at times, were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it’s really important, because we make these movies for (the fans).”<\/p>\n
He added, “What’s been really fun about this most recent movie is designing the suit and being a part of that process and understanding what we wanted to try and achieve.”<\/p>\n
The third film, 2021’s No Way Home, concluded with Doctor Strange casting a spell and erasing Peter Parker\/Spider-Man from everyone’s memory.<\/p>\n
In Brand New Day, Peter is trying to leave Spider-Man behind and focus on university. However, when a new threat endangers his friends, he must break his promise and suit up again, teaming with an unexpected ally to protect those he loves.<\/p>\n
Holland began filming the latest instalment on the streets of Glasgow, Scotland, which is filling in for New York City, at the start of August.<\/p>\n
The movie is due to be released on 31 July 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
