Author: Scott Colothan<\/span>Published 5 hours ago Joe Elliott<\/a> has exclusively told Planet Rock that Def Leppard<\/a> plan to release new music in time for their live shows in 2026.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, Def Leppard announced an 11-date European tour<\/a> for next summer that includes a massive outdoor concert at Belfast Belsonic and arena shows in Glasgow, Sheffield, London, Birmingham and Manchester. <\/p>\n Prior to the European dates, Def Leppard play a 12-night residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas throughout February. <\/p>\n To celebrate tickets for Def Leppard\u2019s UK tour going on sale today (5th September), Def Leppard frontman and Planet Rock presenter Joe Elliott called in to Breakfast with Paul Anthony<\/a> for a chat. <\/p>\n During the conversation, Joe told Paul that Def Leppard are eyeing up a late 2026\/early 2027 release date for their 13th studio album and they\u2019re planning to premiere a couple of new songs before their live dates. <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re working through a new album right now, which won\u2019t be out next year, but we may \u2013 and probably will \u2013 release a new song in time for Vegas and then release another one again for the British tour.\u201d Joe said. \u201cThat\u2019s the plan that we have right now, so there\u2019s an exclusive for you! <\/p>\n \u201cSo, we\u2019re gonna kind of drip feed songs from the album and then it\u2019ll come out late \u201826, early \u201927 maybe. Hopefully. So, it gives us a great opportunity to do that.\u201d <\/p>\n Joe continued: \u201cThere was a point maybe in the last 20 years where people wouldn\u2019t play new music (live) before an album came out because it would be on YouTube. I think, we\u2019re like over that. You know what, if you hear it before it comes out and it\u2019s all over YouTube then whatever. We don\u2019t mind. They moved to the property when their family emigrated from the Netherlands in 1962, and the brothers honed their musical craft in the garage at the rear of the property. In 2005, the London Borough of Hackney honoured Bolan with a plaque outside the property. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n The humble two-bedroom house in Tupelo, Mississippi where The King himself Elvis Presley was born on 8th January 1935.
