We\u2019ve had to say goodbye to \u201c9 to 5,\u201d \u201cIslands in the Stream\u201d and so many other Dolly Parton classics. Now, just three hits and one round of voting remain to crown the Queen of Country\u2019s best song<\/a>\u00a0ever.<\/p>\n Because Dolly is a unique rhinestone, our finals have a little more razzle dazzle than your typical bracket. Three songs go head-to-head-to-head in the “Sequined Showdown” round to pick a winner.<\/p>\n Our final bracket matchup is:<\/p>\n \u201cJolene\u201d vs. “I Will Always Love You” vs. “Why’d You Come Here Lookin’ Like That”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Only one of these hits can win it all. Be sure to vote for your ultimate favorite Dolly Parton song, and tell everyone you know to do the same!<\/p>\n Voting for the final round (dubbed the “Sequined Showdown\u201d) begins Sept. 5, and voting closes at 11:45 p.m. Sept. 9.<\/p>\n Songs we lost in the third round: <\/strong>“Islands in the Stream (with Kenny Rogers),\u201d “My Tennessee Mountain Home” and “Better Get to Livin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n The best Dolly Parton song will be announced Sept. 16 in a Knox News story exploring this history of the winning hit.<\/p>\n Parton had\u00a0recorded\u00a0450 songs throughout her career by 2022<\/a>, according to the Grammy Awards. And she has 66 studio albums, the most of any female country singer, according to the Guinness World Records.<\/p>\n For easier bracket selections, we relied on her most recent greatest hits compilation for seeding.\u00a0“Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection”<\/a>\u00a0(2022)\u00a0features 23 tracks.<\/p>\n But for an even bracket, we also chose to include “Joshua” (1971) as the unofficial 24th track because it was\u00a0Parton’s first No. 1 single<\/a>.<\/p>\n We relied on the album track list for bracket seeding.
