Influencer Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento<\/strong> has died<\/a> days after being reported missing. She was 22.<\/p>\n

Nascimento\u2019s body was recently found by local Brazilian police officers, according to a Wednesday, September 3, report from the newspaper Metr\u00f3poles<\/a>. <\/i>The outlet reported that Nascimento drowned in the Jaguari dam in Igarat\u00e1, Brazil, after disappearing on a jet ski ride three days earlier.<\/p>\n

Nascimento had traveled to Igarat\u00e1 to \u201ctake photos,\u201d according to friend Gabrielle Reis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of our close friends and I begged her not to go because none of us would be able to keep up,\u201d Reis told Metr\u00f3poles<\/i>. \u201cThen she kept pestering us all week, saying, \u2018Let\u2019s go, let\u2019s go.\u2019 In the end, she went.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to local news outlet 24 Horas, Ortiz sustained a number of injuries when a fishing vessel hit her while she was in the water at Rinconada Beach in the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She continued, \u201cI met Jaque through a friend many years ago, and we\u2019ve been inseparable ever since. She was always a very sweet, loving girl, always thinking of others. She was a good person, a good friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reis also shared a handful of photos of Nascimento via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 4, and revealed plans for a memorial<\/a> the next day.<\/p>\n

\u201cTomorrow we will all be there honoring you, my love,\u201d Reis wrote via her Instagram Story. \u201cWe are gray and you are colorful because you were our light.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a follow-up post on Friday, September 5, Reis shared a selfie as she and two friends wore T-shirts with images of Nascimento\u2019s face on the front.<\/p>\n

Nascimento had more than 12,000 followers on Instagram and 1,700 on TikTok. She last posted on Instagram on August 27.<\/p>\n
