Luke Combs<\/a> achieves his 24th top 10 on Billboard\u2019s Country Airplay<\/a> chart as \u201cBack in the Saddle\u201d moseys 11-10 on the Sept. 13-dated tally. During the Aug. 29-Sept. 4 tracking week, it increased by 8% to 17.5 million audience impressions, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n

Combs co-authored the song with Dan Isbell and Jonathan Singleton, while Combs and Singleton co-produced it with Chip Matthews. The single introduces Combs\u2019 upcoming album.<\/p>\n

A week earlier, Combs hit No. 2 on Country Airplay with \u201cBackup Plan,\u201d with Bailey Zimmerman. Before that, Post Malone\u2019s \u201cGuy for That,\u201d featuring Combs, reached No. 5 in March and Combs\u2019 \u201cAin\u2019t No Love in Oklahoma\u201d led for two weeks last fall, becoming his 18th No. 1.<\/p>\n

Combs, from Asheville, N.C., snapped off a career-opening-record 14 consecutive Country Airplay No. 1s. His 24 top 10s dating to his rookie appearance in the region in April 2017 with \u201cHurricane,\u201d which led for two weeks, mark the most in that span. Morgan Wallen is second with 21, followed by Thomas Rhett with 17.<\/p>\n

More \u2018Good News\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Shaboozey\u2019s \u201cGood News\u201d tops Country Airplay for a second week (32.4 million, up 4%).\u00a0The Northern Virginia native\u2019s first entry, the multi-genre smash \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy),\u201d dominated for seven weeks beginning in August 2024, surpassing Carrie Underwood\u2019s \u201cJesus, Take the Wheel\u201d in 2006 as the longest-leading hit on the list ever to establish a country career (counting acts\u2019 first titles on the chart as a lead artist or their initial songs promoted to country radio).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, of the 11 songs that have risen to No. 1 on Country Airplay for the first time in 2025, \u201cGood News\u201d is the eighth to lead for more than one week, matching the number of multi-frame rulers in all of 2024. In 2023, 12 new No. 1s reigned for multiple weeks.<\/p>\n
