Patrolman A.C. \u201cSparkplug\u201d Benson (Charles B. Standard shootings and blunt-force beatings fit the bill, but \u201ctrombone stabbing\u201d was not on my Bingo card. Paired with Sparkplug\u2019s ineptitude as a driver during car chases, the film veers into absurdity in ways I couldn\u2019t help but enjoy, even if I was expecting a straight-up thriller.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"mb-4 text-lg font-bold\"><strong>A Solid Proof Of Concept, But Not A Successful One\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">These days, horror thrillers blend seamlessly with police procedurals, and <span>IPs like\u00a0<em>True Detective<\/em>,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.giantfreakinrobot.com\/msn\/01some-behind-the-scenes-facts-about-criminal-minds.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Criminal Minds;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em>Criminal Minds<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<em>Zodiac<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Longlegs<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>prove this formula works when properly fleshed out.
