Druski<\/a> was transformed into a white redneck in his latest skit, Proud to Be American<\/em><\/a>, and the woman who did the makeup has some impressive credentials.<\/p>\n The parody sees him going undercover at a NASCAR race to mock overly patriotic and racist people, while disguised in whiteface, a mullet, farmer\u2019s tan, sunburn, tattoos, and overalls. But exactly how did he do it? Well, by hiring Georgia-based makeup artist, Kaylee Kehne-Swisher, who also recently worked on the 2025 box office smash, Weapons<\/em>.<\/p>\n According to<\/a> Rolling Stone<\/em>, this isn\u2019t the first time the pair has worked together. Kehne-Swisher previously did Druski\u2019s makeup for his \u201cwhite boy accepted by the Hood\u201d skit<\/a> from May, which she told the publication took around seven hours.<\/p>\n \u201cI love these characters that Druski\u2019s coming up with,\u201d Kehne-Swisher told Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019ve always really loved [Saturday Night Live<\/em>], where you can hardly tell who a person is under Clinton makeup, or White Chicks\u2014these big makeup transformations. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n While she did the makeup for that first parody by herself, for the comedian\u2019s new NASCAR sketch, hiring an assistant allowed her to reduce the process to about four hours.<\/p>\n \u201cThis time around for NASCAR, they sent me some samples of the sunburn and that mullet look, and we just went from there. I had maybe four to five days to prep for it this time, which is really nice, but it was definitely a lot of work.\u201d<\/p>\n As for the tattoos, Kehne-Swisher said she worked with an Atlanta-based company called Hookup Tattoos that works with movies, and found temporary tattoos on Amazon that she said \u201ccame out surprisingly good.\u201d<\/p>\n She also explained the process for the sunburn. \u201cWe basically painted the sunburn right on. After we painted him a regular skin tone, we airbrushed the entire shirt outline on. Then with lighter tones, we went over and speckled different reds and misted other tones of red to give it some modeling.\u201d<\/p>\n Kehne-Swisher has been a makeup artist since 2011, and in that time, has done everything from commercials and makeovers to special effects.
