Billboard\u00a0Pride<\/a>\u00a0is proud to present the latest edition of\u00a0Queer Jams of the Week<\/a>, our roundup of some of the best\u00a0new music<\/a>\u00a0releases from LGBTQ+ artists.<\/p>\n From Lady Gaga\u2019s spooky new single to Brandi Carlile\u2019s long-awaited new solo release, check out just a few of our favorite releases from this week below:<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Just when you thought the Mayhem was winding to a close, Lady Gaga gave it another jolt of life with her newest single \u201cThe Dead Dance.\u201d Written for the second season of Wednesday, the track sees Gaga firmly in her dark disco-pop bag, creating eerie and earworm-y melodies alongside her main Mayhem collaborators Andrew Watt and Cirkut. Complete the package with a genuinely creepy music video directed by Tim Burton himself, and you\u2019ve got a song that will keep you dancing until you\u2019re dead, as Gaga would say.<\/p>\n With only two weeks left until she drops her much-anticipated new album I\u2019m Only F\u2013king Myself, Lola Young would like to make one final plea for someone who will take care of her. On her heartwrenching new mid-tempo single \u201cSpiders,\u201d the rising singer-songwriter pens a letter to her lover, asking them to \u201ckill all the spiders\u201d iin her room for her, and to generally promise to make things that little bit easier in her chaotic life. It\u2019s simple, sweet and a worthy reminder of Young\u2019s resounding talent.<\/p>\n After spending the last few years focusing on her work with legendary starts like Tanya Tucker, Joni Mitchell and Elton John, Brandi Carlile is all alone again \u2014 and it\u2019s freaking her out. On her first solo song in years \u201cReturning to Myself,\u201d Carlile reckons with the inevitable reality of being stuck with yourself. The gentle acoustic harmonies seamlessly match Carlile\u2019s tone as she starts coming to terms with finding comfort without unhealthy codependence.<\/p>\n You know how people say that you go into a state of \u201cmourning\u201d after a breakup? Well, the Last Dinner Party are taking that metaphor to it\u2019s literal conclusion on \u201cThe Scythe,\u201d a moving new single that sees the band confronting heartbreak as though it were death itself. But \u201cThe Scythe\u201d is no funeral dirge \u2014 by the time the phenomenal chorus kicks in, this song comparing the end of a relationship with the Grim Reaper will have you banging your head in perfect rhythm with its excellent beat.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a lot of roughness in reality these days, so why not take some time to escape to another time entirely? That\u2019s what G Flip accomplishes with their excellent new album Dream Ride, as she weaves together a fantasia of \u201980s pop-rock melodies over the course of 10 deliciously fun songs.
