The upcoming Highlander reboot<\/a><\/strong> movie has added another new cast member.<\/p>\n Amazon MGM Studios<\/a> is making a remake of Highlander<\/a>. The original movie was directed by Russell Mulcahy and stars Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, Sean Connery as Juan S\u00e1nchez-Villalobos Ram\u00edrez, Clancy Brown as The Kurgan, Roxanne Hart, and Beatie Edney as Heather MacLeod.<\/p>\n The new Highlander movie comes from director Chad Stahelski<\/a>. Man of Steel\u2019s Henry Cavill<\/a> has been tapped to lead the film, while the cast also includes Russell Crowe<\/a>, Marisa Abela<\/a>, Dave Bautista<\/a>, and Karen Gillan<\/a>. Both Bautista and Gillan are known for starring in Marvel Studios\u2019 Guardians of the Galaxy<\/a> franchise.<\/p>\n Per The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, another Guardians of the Galaxy star has joined the cast of Highlander, as Djimon Hounsou<\/a> will play \u201can immortal warrior from Africa\u201d in the film.<\/p>\n Hounsou plays Korath the Pursuer in the MCU<\/a>, while he also portrayed the wizard Shazam in several DCEU projects, including 2019\u2019s Shazam!, 2022\u2019s Black Adam, and 2023\u2019s Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
