Ghostface Killah<\/a> has spoken on the “culture vulture” tag that comes up in hip-hop from time to time \u2014\u00a0and he believes it’s a relatively mild insult.<\/p>\n During a recent chat with\u00a0TMZ Hip-Hop<\/a>, the Wu-Tang Clan<\/a> rapper was asked about Drake<\/a>\u2019s recent interview with\u00a0Bobbi Althoff<\/a>, specifically, Drizzy\u2019s reaction to being labeled a “culture vulture.”<\/p>\n “Oh. Buy. Collect. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n Drake revisited the “culture vulture” topic when discussing his and Althoff\u2019s 2023 beef<\/a>. The drama started after Althoff released her infamous Drizzy interview on her now-defunct Not Really Good Podcast<\/a>\u00a0series.<\/p>\n Drake claimed he cut ties with the podcaster after one incident in which she admittedly blamed Drake for some issues\u00a0she was having. The OVO rapper said he knew he wasn\u2019t “part of the problem,” but was easily triggered when people\u00a0pointed their fingers at him or questioned his intentions.<\/p>\n “I experience a lot of guilt-tripping in my life where people are like, ‘No, this is your fault,’ essentially,” he said during the debut episode of Althoff\u2019s Not This Again<\/a>\u00a0podcast. “And my intentions are pure. My intentions are pure. It\u2019s the same way even in music. People will be like, ‘You\u2019re a culture vulture.'”<\/p>\n He continued: “They\u2019ll put a negative spin on it and try and tell me that it\u2019s a self-serving thing or whatever, and I think I get really sensitive about that.”<\/p>\n Drake has faced “culture vulture” criticisms<\/a> for\u00a0quite some time, as he\u2019s been accused of exploiting cultures of which he has no knowledge or genuine appreciation. The Canadian rapper tackled the label during a 2019 sit-down with\u00a0Tiffany Calver of BBC Radio\u2019s 1Xtra\u00a0Rap Show.<\/p>\n “‘Oh that\u2019s some culture vulture…,’ I don\u2019t know what that means,” he said. “I\u2019ll never understand how supporting somebody\u2019s song or giving someone a song isn\u2019t admirable. I had to get that off my chest.”<\/p>\n Kendrick Lamar<\/a>\u00a0fueled the culture vulture noise with the release of his 2024 diss tracks “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us.” On the former, K.
