The Motown legend has spoken out once again about a certain $50 million lawsuit.<\/p>\n
Smokey Robinson<\/strong> was sued by four of his former employees for sexual assault back in May. He issued a formal statement at the time through his attorney. And more recently, TMZ caught up with the music icon<\/a>, 85, at LAX this week \u2014 where he provided another response on the matter.<\/p>\n “It’s happening to everybody,” Robinson told the TMZ photog at the airport on Friday, September 5, in regards to the allegations against him.<\/p>\n And when asked how he feels about the claims filed back in May of this year, the Motown staple said they “all bulls–t.”<\/p>\n Robinson also doesn’t feel that his legacy has been impacted, as he explained to the photog on Friday.<\/p>\n In the suit filed on May 6<\/a> in Los Angeles Superior Court, four women who were employed by the singer accused him of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, gender violence and creating a hostile work environment.<\/p>\n The women are all adults and have chosen to be identified as Jane Doe to \u201cprotect their privacy because it involves sexual misconduct by\u201d Robinson, the lawsuit states.<\/p>\n \u201cAs this case progresses, the evidence (the crucial element that guides us) will show that this is simply an ugly method of trying to extract money from an 85-year-old American icon\u2013$50 million, to be exact,” Robinson\u2019s attorney\u00a0Christopher Frost<\/strong>\u00a0said as part of a statement to\u00a0Parade<\/a>on behalf of the singer and his wife,\u00a0Frances<\/strong>. “Through this process we have seen the bizarre theatrics of yesterday\u2019s [May 6] news conference, as the plaintiffs\u2019 attorneys outlined vile, false allegations against Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, trying to enlist the public as an unwitting participant in the media circus they are trying to create.
