A beloved pop star had to cancel a performance just hours before it was scheduled to begin because of an issue with her voice.<\/p>\n
Lady Gaga<\/a> nixed her Wednesday night show at the Kaseya Center in Miami after her voice was \u201cextremely strained.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cHi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight\u2019s show in Miami,\u201d Lady Gaga wrote in an Instagram story<\/a> post on Wednesday. \u201cDuring rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my (doctor) and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don\u2019t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n The Wednesday show would have been the singer\u2019s third Miami date following Sunday and Monday shows at the venue. Wednesday\u2019s show was the 20th scheduled show on her 60-plus-stop \u201cMAYHEM Ball\u201d tour. <\/p>\n It\u2019s currently unclear if the Oscar and Grammy-winning performer will continue her tour as scheduled. <\/p>\n The tour\u2019s next shows are slated for Sept. 6 and Sept. 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York. <\/p>\n \u201cI tried so hard to avoid this,\u201d Gage wrote. \u201cI take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show.
