Sleeping in different rooms seems to be a growing trend for married couples seeking a good night\u2019s rest, and country music star Dierks Bentley and his wife, Cassidy, are apparently a part of that crowd. <\/p>\n
Bentley made the revelation on a recent episode of Bobby Bones\u2019 \u201cBobbyCast.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bentley, 49, and his wife have been married for nearly 20 years, and he explained that his sleep habits get turned upside down while he is on the road. So, he said, when he returns home to Cassidy and their three children it takes a lot of adjusting to ensure they each get a good night\u2019s sleep. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I do get off the road, it\u2019s like the No. 1 priority,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife will be like, \u2018How\u2019d you sleep last night?\u2019\u201d he continued. <\/b><\/a>\u201cAnd we don\u2019t even sleep in the same room right now anymore. We\u2019ve moved beyond that.\u201d<\/p>\n He further explained that he and his wife would get into bed and have different sleep experiences.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just even thinking about \u2026 the position,\u201d he said. \u201cI have three pillows (that) have to be positioned exactly the correct way. I\u2019m just thinking about the process of getting to fall asleep. And all of a sudden she\u2019ll jerk. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018You\u2019ve got to be kidding me. You\u2019re already out?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n So, Bentley said, that is when he made the move on the sleeping arrangements.<\/p>\n \u201cYears ago I decided to separate church and state and I got rid of our bed,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve got two platform beds and two box springs and two mattresses.\u201d<\/p>\n He said that allows his wife to \u201cmove around all she wants.\u201d<\/p>\n Currently though, Bentley said that he has been an \u201canimal\u201d while trying to sleep, and that has pushed Cassidy out of the room.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s sleeping on the couch now,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s an extra room we have, and she\u2019ll go sleep in there. And even last night, we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019ve got to get this back on track when I get off the road.
