\u201cThe Thing\u201d star Kurt Russell<\/a> has joined the cast of the new \u201cYellowstone\u201d spinoff \u201cThe Madison.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deadline reported Thursday, Sept. 4<\/a> that the 74-year-old actor has been cast as a series regular in the show, which has been described as a \u201cheartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if Russell is in the currently unreleased first season that filmed in Montana and North Texas last fall, or in the upcoming second season, which is slated to film in Fort Worth this month.<\/p>\n

While Paramount has yet to publicly announce \u201cThe Madison\u201d season 2, 101 Studios CEO David Glasser confirmed<\/a> to the Star-Telegram in mid-August that the show will go before cameras in September.<\/p>\n

Kurt Russell joins \u2018The Madison\u2019<\/h2>\n

Deadline\u2019s report did not say who Russell is playing in the show. However, Variety\u2019s piece mentioned<\/a> that he will play Michelle Pfeiffer\u2019s husband.<\/p>\n

Russell was originally rumored to be in the show<\/a> as far back as August 2024.<\/p>\n

In addition to Russell and Pfeiffer, \u201cThe Madison\u201d stars Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova and Kevin Zegers.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear how \u201cThe Madison\u201d connects to \u201cYellowstone\u201d and when the series will premiere. Paramount has yet to announce a release date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
