Dolly Parton is spreading her wings by teaming up with one of country music\u2019s hottest bands.<\/p>\n
The “9 to 5” singer appears on Zac Brown Band\u2019s new single, \u201cButterfly (feat. Dolly Parton),\u201d which dropped Sept. 5, and TODAY.com can exclusively reveal the full music video<\/a> for the ballad.<\/p>\n The clip for \u201cButterfly\u201d opens with Brown’s and Parton\u2019s back to the camera, while he sits at a piano and she stands beside him. The camera dissolves and the pair stand together while Brown handles the vocals. Parton joins in just before the one-minute mark as Brown gets to the chorus.<\/p>\n \u201cButterfly \/ You will see \/ You\u2019re so much stronger than you think you are \/ You just have to believe \/ You can fly \/ Mend your wings \/ Any moment you can free yourself and fly out of the darkness \/ Butterfly,\u201d they sing.<\/p>\n Brown was thrilled to get the chance to work with Parton.<\/p>\n \u201cGetting to record \u2018Butterfly\u2019 with Dolly is a dream come true,\u201d Brown said in a statement. \u201cShe\u2019s always been one of my biggest inspirations, not just as an artist, but as a person. Collaborating with her brought a whole new perspective to the song.<\/p>\n \u201cTogether, we were able to capture the power of storytelling, weaving a narrative we hope will deeply resonate with listeners. She\u2019s so special, and I sent her that song and I\u2019m like, \u2018Sing whatever you feel on it. Whatever you want. I got it back. I got chill bumps down to my toes. She absolutely killed it. It\u2019s so good. It\u2019s a real duet. So, that\u2019s such an honor. That\u2019s like a pinch myself moment for me\u201d<\/p>\n Parton collaborated with the band ahead of the release of its upcoming seventh studio album, \u201cLove & Fear,\u201d due Dec. 5. That date also marks the first night of the group\u2019s residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n In March, Parton released her single called \u201cIf You Hadn\u2019t Been There\u201d<\/a> in honor of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, after he died<\/a> earlier that same month.<\/p>\n<\/span><\/div>\n
