Bill Maher<\/a> made a bold declaration about Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a>, the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services \u2014 and the Real Time With Bill Maher<\/a><\/em> host didn\u2019t mince words with his blunt assessment.<\/p>\n

On Friday, September 5, the late-night host, 69, briefly mentioned RFK Jr., 71, during his opening monologue<\/a> recapping recent news about President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe knives are out for Bobby Kennedy, and I gotta say, I\u2019m with the knives,\u201d Maher confessed.<\/p>\n

Later, during the panelist segment of Real Time<\/em>, Maher reflected on Kennedy\u2019s three-hour Senate hearing on September 4. The health secretary struggled to defend major vaccine changes<\/a> that limit access to the COVID-19 vaccine and the firing of CDC director Susan Monarez<\/a> under his leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cI personally find this very disappointing because I am the person who was sympathetic to what [Kennedy] was trying to do,\u201d Maher told the panel. \u201cI said, \u2018Finally, we have a guy in there who cares about this stuff.\u2019 But he\u2019s also just nutty.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, 1,000 current and former U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention employees signed a letter<\/a> calling for Kennedy to resign and accusing him of appointing \u201cpolitical ideologues.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just too nutty,\u201d Maher reiterated.. \u201cHe just does not listen. I mean, he just is. And nothing ever \u2014 I call it pendulumism \u2014 nothing ever stops in the middle.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cOK, this needed a housecleaning, the CDC. But to fire all 17 of the top people? Now you don\u2019t have that voice in there at all. You just have your voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

To conclude his thoughts on RFK Jr., Maher declared, \u201cIt\u2019s just, he\u2019s got to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
