Chad Gilbert, the singer and guitarist for popular punk rock band New Found Glory, has resumed treatment for cancer.<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old recently shared the news <\/b>with a post on Instagram. <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cFrom rock to radiation \u2014 it\u2019s scary, it sucks, and I wish it weren\u2019t a part of my life,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut truthfully, through the hardships come new outlooks, gratitude, positivity, and a freeing new way to see life. I\u2019m thankful that I\u2019m still in the fight and look forward to putting this enemy to rest for good.<\/p>\n \u201cI encourage everyone going through emotional struggles to find joy in the simple things and the fun moments you might not have experienced without your struggle,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe learn from it all. Give yourself a break. Thank you for all the support and love you send my way. Most people aren\u2019t lucky enough to have fans who reach out with kind messages. I might not reply to them all, but I don\u2019t take any of them for granted. I hope your day is awesome!\u201d<\/p>\n Gilbert said he was resuming the treatment after doctors found \u201ca small spot in my back,\u201d according to People Magazine.
