And they saved their happiest ending for last.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe Conjuring: Last Rites,\u201d the fourth installment of the popular franchise, features Patrick Wilson and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/life\/people\/2019\/04\/19\/lorraine-warren-dead-conjuring-vera-farmiga-mourns\/3522573002\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Vera Farmiga;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Vera Farmiga<\/a> in one last turn as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. In the wedding scene, on the bride\u2019s side of the church, original \u201cConjuring\u201d stars Lili Taylor and Mackenzie Foy are there in the pews, as is \u201cThe Conjuring 2\u201d actress Frances O\u2019Connor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cTo have people come back that day, man, that was so special to me,\u201d Wilson says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Farmiga wishes Lorraine Warren, who died in 2019, could have been there with them. \u201cThat would\u2019ve been cool,\u201d she says. Will there be more? &#8220;Never say never, I guess, but I&#8217;m saying no,&#8221; Wan says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">With the four main &#8220;Conjuring&#8221; movies, &#8220;I really honestly think we captured the real Warrens&#8217; legacy right, in a very befitting, cinematic way,&#8221; Wan says, though he allows he could see other stories down the line.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Warrens created a research society of the paranormal world, so that could be an option. A young Ed (Orion Smith) and Lorraine (Madison Lawlor) appeared in the 1960s-set &#8220;Last Rites&#8221; flashback opening, so they might return if &#8220;Conjuring&#8221; went the prequel route.
