Jonathan Bailey<\/a> is hitting pause on his acting career.<\/p>\n In an interview with British GQ<\/a> published on Wednesday, the \u201cWicked\u201d<\/a> star revealed he\u2019s going to take a break from acting following the release of \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d later this year. He intends to use this time to focus on his LGBTQ+ charity group, the Shameless Fund<\/a>, which he launched last year.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing. But with everything happening in the world right now, I\u2019m going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund,\u201d he told the outlet. <\/p>\n \u201cOver the next few months, I\u2019ll be focusing on staffing and making sure we get all the right people in all the right places,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n Bailey\u2019s Shameless Fund works with global brands to raise money for LGBTQ+ non-profits. The charity\u2019s goal is to create a world where all LGBTQ+ people can live openly without fear of discrimination.<\/p>\n In June, the organization partnered with the glasses brand Cubitts to release a pair of glasses inspired by the eyewear that Bailey wore in the \u201cJurassic World Rebirth\u201d trailer.<\/p>\n Bailey hopes his charity can help fill a significant funding gap, telling GQ, \u201cThere\u2019s this statistic: out of every \u00a3100 raised in the UK, only 1p goes to the LGBTQ+ community. You really have to dig to find solutions, and I genuinely think The Shameless Fund is exactly that.”<\/p>\n Bailey is still set to appear in the \u201cWicked\u201d sequel, \u201cWicked: For Good,\u201d out this November. However, he plans to step back from Hollywood afterwards.
