Luckily for him, he has a matchup that should move the needle closer to boom.<\/p>\n<p>My Twins vs. Royals predictions expect Clemens to deal some damage in a winning effort for the road team.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s break it all down with my September 6 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/picks\/mlb\">MLB picks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Best_Bet\">Twins vs Royals prediction<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Twins vs Royals best bet<\/strong>:\u00a0<span>Kody Clemens Over 1.5 total bases (+135)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/158925\/kody-clemens\">Kody Clemens<\/a> doesn\u2019t hit for average but when he makes contact, he really makes contact. That leads to a lot of extra base hits and strong power numbers (his ISO sits at .266 vs. righties).<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty of reason to believe he could make noise against <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/291419\/stephen-kolek\">Stephen Kolek<\/a> and the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/teams\/main\/kansas-city-royals\/odds\">Kansas City Royals<\/a>. Kolek gives up a lot more production to lefties, allowing 1.3 more homers per nine innings and an ISO 150 points higher.<\/p>\n<p>Kolek likes to mix up his pitches vs. left-handed bats, throwing five different types at least 11% of the time. Unfortunately for him, Clemens has hit for power against each of them.<\/p>\n<p>Clemens possesses ISOs of .160 or higher vs. all five pitches. Perhaps more impressively, his ISO is .240+ against four of them.<\/p>\n<p>If Clemens is able to get himself into a favorable count where he\u2019ll get a good pitch to hit in terms of location, it doesn\u2019t much matter what Kolek throws.<\/p>\n<p>Clemens will be well equipped to make powerful contact, giving him a real chance to hit for extra bases.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"+575_SGP\">Twins vs Royals same-game parlay (SGP)<\/h2>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/194213\/matt-wallner\">Matt Wallner<\/a> profiles similarly to Clemens with his numbers against righties.<\/p>\n<p>The difference is Wallner usually hits closer to the top of the order, surrounded by key bats who get on base more consistently like <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/12032\/byron-buxton\">Byron Buxton<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/175167\/trevor-larnach\">Trevor Larnach<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This increases the chances there\u2019s traffic when Wallner hits, giving him better opportunities to drive in runs.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/193920\/joe-ryan\">Joe Ryan<\/a> is having a great season for the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/sport\/baseball\/mlb\/teams\/main\/minnesota-twins\/odds\">Minnesota Twins<\/a>.
