Ethan Slater<\/strong> was spotted spending time with his ex-wife Lilly Jay<\/strong> and a child believed to be their son during an outing in Jersey City, New Jersey, on September 5, Star<\/em> can exclusively report.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old actor, who plays Boq in Wicked<\/em> alongside Ariana Grande<\/strong><\/a>, arrived at the Newport Mall around 3 p.m. \u201cI made eye contact with Ethan while walking out of the parking garage,\u201d an eyewitness told Star<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Dressed casually in a hat, Slater appeared upbeat as he pushed a stroller. \u201cHe looked really happy, just pushing the stroller like any other parent. Just a few steps ahead was a woman who looked exactly like his ex, Jay, helping a little kid ride in one of those toy wagons,\u201d the eyewitness said.<\/p>\n

At one point, a fan passing by gasped and shouted, \u201cI love you!\u201d \u201cEthan laughed and flashed this huge smile. You could tell he was loving it,\u201d the eyewitness added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere weren\u2019t many people around, but he definitely appreciated being recognized. Lilly, on the other hand, didn\u2019t even look up. She was focused on the child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slater and Jay, who wed in 2018, reportedly separated<\/a> in 2023. In July of that year, he began dating Grande, 32, who had split from Dalton Gamez<\/strong> after nearly two years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Online records viewed by Star<\/em> show that Jay lives in downtown Jersey City, a neighborhood known for its family-friendly vibe. Locals describe it as \u201ca smaller version of New York City\u201d and sometimes call it the \u201csixth borough.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes sense for her,\u201d the eyewitness said about Jay\u2019s choice to raise her child there. \u201cIt\u2019s suburban enough for a kid but still close enough to Broadway for Ethan.\u201d<\/p>\n

The eyewitness added that Slater is no stranger to the area. \u201cHe\u2019s popped into a few shops here and there. One of my friends saw him earlier this year at The Hive, a local coffee shop, getting a drip coffee.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
