I\u2019ve been obsessed with this movie ever since it first came out back in 2017, and over the years, I\u2019ve watched it more times than I can count. Now that it\u2019s available once again with a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/streaming\/articles\/netflix-subscription-plans-price-included-174717448.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Netflix subscription;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Netflix subscription<\/a>, I\u2019ve gone back and done it again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Revisiting the gritty thriller near the top of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/news\/1750959\/the-top-10-movies-of-2017-according-to-cinema-blend\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:CinemaBlend\u2019s best of 2017 list;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">CinemaBlend\u2019s best of 2017 list<\/a>, I was oh so excited to experience <em>Wind River<\/em>\u2019s most intense scene: the standoff between police and a menacing group of security contractors. This scene, which takes place as Elizabeth Olsen\u2019s FBI Agent Jane Banner leads a group of police to investigate <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/movies\/best-movies-about-native-americans-and-how-to-watch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:the murder of a young Native American woman;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">the murder of a young Native American woman<\/a>, starts off innocent enough with a conversation between authorities and security contractors on a drilling site, but that doesn\u2019t last long.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Over the course of the scene, Sheridan slowly yet methodically pushes the pieces around, eventually leading to a terrifyingly <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hh9vCD1Tlls&amp;pp=ygUTd2luZCByaXZlciBzaG9vdG91dA%3D%3D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:extreme and unpredictable standoff;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">extreme and unpredictable standoff<\/a> where everyone has drawn their guns while also having a gun pointed at them. Natalie Hanson\u2019s (Kelsey Asbille) fate is already known before the scene, but the how and why aren\u2019t revealed until this grueling and traumatizing sequence. The flashback, which shows Natalie\u2019s final hours, as well as those of her ill-fated boyfriend, Matt Rayburn (Jon Bernthal), starts innocently enough before turning into a gut-wrenching and gutting series of events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We don\u2019t really know where the security guards stand before this, but all hope that these guys aren\u2019t <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/news\/2566510\/the-best-mystery-movies-and-where-to-watch-them\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:complicit in the murders;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">complicit in the murders<\/a> goes out the window as we watch the same guys brutally assault a woman before beating her boyfriend to death in front of her, before she suffers a similar fate.
