Emotional, exciting, harrowing, and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/articles\/finally-watched-pitt-season-1-110200642.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:absolutely disgusting at times;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">absolutely disgusting at times<\/a>, this fast-paced chronicle of a single shift at a trauma center had a lot going for it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While there are all kinds of unforgettable and astounding moments throughout the show\u2019s first run (don\u2019t worry, a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/streaming-news\/excited-for-the-pitt-season-2-here-is-what-we-know-so-far\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:second season is on the way;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">second season is on the way<\/a>), there are two specific scenes that I, as a parent, won\u2019t ever forget, no matter how hard I try. If you haven\u2019t gotten caught up with the series yet, please exercise extreme caution.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There\u2019s a lot of tragedy going on throughout <em>The Pitt<\/em>, and I could handle a lot of that. However, it was a different story when I started the eighth episode with its story about a 6-year-old girl named Amber drowning in a swimming pool after saving her sister.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Parents aren\u2019t supposed to outlive their children, and this episode shows just how tragic it is to go through something like this. What makes it so much worse is that, at one point, it looks like Amber is going to survive after her body temperature starts to rise and the medical staff attempts CPR to bring her back. But then Dr. Michael \u201cRobby\u201d Robinavitch sits down and lets them know there\u2019s no coming back, and their daughter is dead. The moment the camera pans to the young girl, oblivious to everything happening around her, and shows her making her sister a get-well card, broke my heart into even smaller pieces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Dearden\u2019s portrayal of a young doctor caught between the decision of breaking the news or allowing the girl to hold onto what little bit of normalcy that\u2019s left just resonated so much during the episode and more than a week after the credits rolled. What do you do in this situation? How do you not crash out from the stress (emotional and physical) of it and carry on?
