Robert Plant<\/a> has released the third advance track from his upcoming album, Saving Grace<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n “Chevrolet” follows the release of “Everybody’s Song” and “Gospel Plough”<\/a>\u00a0over the past couple of months.<\/p>\n You can hear “Chevrolet” below.<\/p>\n Listen to Robert Plant’s ‘Chevrolet’<\/strong><\/p>\n The track is actually an interpretation of Donovan<\/a>‘s 1965 song “Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness),” which was an adaptation of Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy’s 1930 blues cut “Can I Do It for You.”<\/p>\n Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy recorded the original version of “When the Levee Breaks” \u2014 a standout and closing track on Led Zeppelin<\/a>‘s fourth album<\/a> from 1971 \u2014 in 1929.<\/p>\n READ MORE:<\/strong> Every Led Zeppelin Song Ranked<\/a><\/p>\n Saving Grace<\/em>\u00a0arrives on Sept. 26 and will be Plant’s 12th solo record. It’s his first album since 2021’s\u00a0Alison Krauss\u00a0<\/a>collaboration,\u00a0Raise the Roof<\/a><\/em>;\u00a0Plant’s\u00a0previous\u00a0solo album\u00a0is 2017’s\u00a0Carry Fire<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n The upcoming album is\u00a0named after the band that Plant founded in 2019\u00a0with singer Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown.<\/p>\n Listen to Robert Plant’s ‘Everybody’s Song’<\/strong><\/p>\n “It’s an impressive collection of people now,” Plant said. “I can’t tell you how lucky I feel about this. What I am really impressed by is this living, new world of whatever this music is. With this m\u00e9lange of music, song and voice, anywhere and everywhere is the way to see the road ahead.”<\/p>\n You can see the album’s track listing below.<\/p>\n Saving Grace\u00a0<\/em>features covers of songs by\u00a0Moby Grape<\/a>\u00a0(“It’s a Beautiful Day Today”), Blind Willie Johnson (“Soul of a Man”), Low (“Everybody’s Song”) and the Low Anthem (“Ticket Taker”). The album continues Plant’s exploration of Americana and roots music, which began with 2007’s\u00a0Raising Sand<\/em><\/a>, his first collaboration with Krauss.<\/p>\n The group originally got together for some low-key shows\u00a0around the time of the pandemic in the small English village where Plant now lives.\u00a0They have performed in Europe and the U.K. over the past six years and recently concluded a tour there.<\/p>\n Listen to Robert Plant’s ‘Gospel Plough’<\/strong><\/p>\n In October, Plant and Saving Grace will begin their first North American tour.
