From Bridgerton <\/i>to Wicked <\/i>to Jurassic Park<\/i>, Jonathan Bailey<\/strong><\/a> has stayed booked and busy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing,\u201d Bailey, 37, told British GQ<\/a> <\/i>in an interview published on Wednesday, September 3. <\/i>\u201cWith everything happening in the world right now, I\u2019m going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bailey launched the Shameless Fund foundation in 2024, with the intention of supporting the LGBTQIA+ community<\/a>. (Bailey himself is openly queer.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAround the world, anti-LGBTQ+ laws are on the increase,\u201d a website<\/a> description reads. \u201cWe\u2019re raising cash through global brand collaborations to power up international, national and grassroots nonprofits to forge a world where every LGBTQ+ person can live authentically, love freely and thrive without the burdens of discrimination, oppression or shame.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJonathan Bailey wants to remind Us to drink milk, and we\u2019re definitely paying attention. The Shameless Fund, an organization that supports LGBTQIA+ nonprofits through creative collaborations, uploaded a social media video of Bailey, 36, chugging a glass of milk. At the end of the video, Bailey looked straight into the camera and used his thumb [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to Bailey, he wants to be even more hands-on in running the nonprofit.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the next few months, I\u2019ll be focusing on staffing and making sure we get all the right people in all the right places,\u201d Bailey told GQ, <\/i>going on to highlight the Shameless Fund\u2019s mission. \u201cThere\u2019s this statistic: out of every \u00a3100 raised in the UK, only 1 [pence] goes to the LGBTQ+ community. You really have to dig to find solutions, and I genuinely think The Shameless Fund is exactly that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor further gushed that the organizations\u2019 collaborations are equal parts fun, creative and can \u201cmake a real difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Bailey, he previously revealed that he first came to terms with sexuality after attending a London Pride event<\/a> in 2006.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tEven after finding fame on Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey still finds himself facing blatant homophobia, such as when a random man threatened to kill him. In an interview with U.K. outlet The Standard published on Tuesday, December 12, the Fellow Travelers star, 35, said the incident occurred in October while he was in Washington, D.C., for [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI was doing a play, I took over from Andrew Garfield<\/strong> in Beautiful Thing<\/i>, and I was in rehearsals, and they took me to Pride to understand the community. And I remember that moment. But it wasn\u2019t my time,\u201d Bailey recalled to Attitude<\/i><\/a> magazine in 2020. \u201cThe most conservative conversations I\u2019ve had about me being honest about my sexuality in this day and age have come from gay men in the industry, \u2018Oh, no, you can\u2019t come out. You shouldn\u2019t really do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
