Although it\u2019s arguably the coolest bike ever seen in Hollywood, the Batpod was strictly off limits for Christian Bale during his Batman stint because it was way too \u2018dangerous\u2019.<\/p>\n

Imagine telling Batman \u2018no\u2019. It seems unfathomable unless you want a world of pain.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s what the Warner Bros team told Christian Bale.<\/p>\n

During his three stints as Batman between 2005 and 2012, Bale was never allowed to ride the famous Batpod.<\/p>\n

Christian Bale regrets not riding the Batpod<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s been some wild vehicles in the Batman series<\/a> and the famed celebrity <\/a>actors have \u2013 mostly \u2013 been allowed behind the wheel.<\/p>\n

Ben Affleck, for example, piloted this car<\/a> for the Justice League.<\/p>\n

But Christian Bale was warned off the Batpod motorbike as it was one step too far.<\/p>\n

Speaking to GQ<\/a>, he said, \u201cWell, there\u2019s the Bat Pod \u2013 essentially a steamroller combined with a superbike combined with an atomic missile. Embarrassingly, I didn\u2019t get to ride it.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThere are other motorbikes in the film that I got to burn about on, but not the Bat Pod \u2013 it was deemed too dangerous; they needed me in one piece to finish the damn movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also promised his wife to stay off bikes after the birth of his first child.<\/p>\n

So, who drove the Batpod?<\/h2>\n

Christian Bale wasn\u2019t the only celeb to mount the Batpod, as Anne Hathaway (playing Catwoman) also crossed tails with the motorbike. <\/p>\n

So could she drive it? Well, to little surprise, Hathaway was also ruled out of putting the beastly vehicle in full flow. <\/p>\n

Not everyone is a daredevil like Tom Cruise<\/a>, it seems.<\/p>\n

In the case of Bale\u2019s appearance in The Dark Knight trilogy, it was stuntman Jean-Pierre Goy who rode the famed vehicle.<\/p>\n

Despite her extensive training to do as many stunts as possible, Hathaway also had to pass the Batpod over to her double, Jolene Van Vugt.<\/p>\n

Bale, despite his spousal promises, regrets not getting on the bike for at least one spin.<\/p>\n
