\u201cJeopardy!<\/a>\u201d hasn\u2019t changed that much over the years \u2014 just ask the quiz show\u2019s host.<\/p>\n \u201cI love that the show is such a stalwart,\u201d Ken Jennings previously told the Deseret News<\/a> after winning the \u201cGreatest of All Time\u201d tournament in 2020. \u201cTonight\u2019s episode of \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 almost down to the second will be the same as an episode of \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 from 1995 or 1985. They got it right the first time. And there\u2019s just not a lot that\u2019s like that in our culture, that never dumbed down or sped up.\u201d<\/p>\n The show\u2019s core format has stayed the same, but as \u201cJeopardy!\u201d returns for its 42nd season on Monday, there will be a major change: For the first time in the show\u2019s history, new episodes will be available for streaming.<\/p>\n As the newest season of \u201cJeopardy!\u201d begins Monday, Sept. 8, episodes will be available to stream the following day on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and Peacock in the United States, and on the platform Crave in Canada, according to a news release shared with the Deseret News.<\/p>\n A major goal of this move is to expand the viewership and reach of \u201cJeopardy!\u201d, which draws in roughly 7 million viewers each night, The New York Times<\/a> previously reported.<\/p>\n \u201cHaving new episodes of \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 available on streaming for the first time is a huge milestone in the history of our program, and we look forward to welcoming a new audience on these platforms,\u201d said Suzanne Prete, president of game shows for Sony Pictures Television, in a statement. \u201cWe want to celebrate that leap forward while also making sure our viewers know that if they watch \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 on their local station, they will continue to be able to do so. Our affiliate and owned station partners around the country remain essential to the show\u2019s success.\u201d<\/p>\n The show is also making archived episodes from past seasons available for streaming \u2014 including every game from Jennings\u2019 record-setting 74-game winning streak back in 2004<\/a>, per the news release.<\/p>\n\u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 returns for 42nd season \u2014 and streams new episodes<\/h3>\n
