That announcement came just before news broke of her settlement with the former professional football player and current podcaster. In her suit, Zuniga sought <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/sports\/a\/tracewilliamcowen\/shannon-sharpe-assault-battery-lawsuit-50-million\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:$50 million;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">$50 million<\/a> in damages, including emotional distress and suffering. In a statement, the attorney said that &#8220;after protracted and respectful negotiations, we have reached a mutually agreed\u2011upon resolution. All matters have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed.
