She\u2019s starred in many spooky films, ranging from <em>The Babysitter<\/em> (one of my personal favorites) to <em>Mayhem<\/em>, and she even had a regular role in the gory TV series <em>Ash vs. The Evil Dead<\/em>. And if you\u2019d like to see Weaving\u2019s <strong>best<\/strong> horror film, you\u2019re in luck because <em>Ready or Not<\/em> is now streaming on Hulu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The plot of <em>Ready or Not<\/em> involves Samara Weaving\u2019s character marrying into a quirky family with a strange ritual: all new family members must play a randomly selected game. She draws hide and seek, but this family\u2019s wild version of the game involves all of them taking up weapons and trying to hunt down and murder the new girl. Weaving does a great job of portraying her character as one who is scared and vulnerable but has enough of an edge to hold her own. It\u2019s major Final Girl energy, and she\u2019s dripping with it from her first scene to the very last.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The rest of the cast (ahem) slays, including Adam Brody, best known for his roles in <em>Mr. and Mrs. Smith<\/em> and <em>The O.C<\/em>. He is joined by Andie MacDowell, best known for her roles in <em>Groundhog Day<\/em> and <em>Sex, Lies, and Videotape<\/em>. We get all of the blood and gore of a horror movie with all the relentless pacing of an action movie. Much like the onscreen characters playing, you will have trouble taking your eyes off the murderous shenanigans (many of which are far funnier than you might expect) until only one player is left standing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Even though horror often gets a bad rap with critics, <em>Ready or Not<\/em> has a whopping 89 percent on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.giantfreakinrobot.com\/topic\/opinion\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Rotten Tomatoes;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>. Critics generally praised the film for its smart script and the dark sense of humor underlying almost every scene.
