The second evening of celebrating the best in technical and artistic achievement in television kicks off on Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. During Night 1, which focused mainly on scripted programing, \u201cThe Studio\u201d led the pack with nine wins and assumed the lead position for comedy series heading into the Primetime Emmys ceremony on Sept. 14, which airs live on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. EST \/ 5 p.m. PST. HBO Max\u2019s \u201cThe Penguin\u201d came in second with eight wins.<\/p>\n
Night 2 of the Creative Arts Emmys zooms in on variety, reality and nonfiction. With its record-setting 31 total nominations for 2025, \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d is expected to do well between the main show and the many \u201cSNL50\u201d specials. Other prominent nominees competing on Sunday night include Peacock\u2019s \u201cThe Traitors\u201d; CBS\u2019s \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert\u201d; Comedy Central\u2019s \u201cThe Daily Show\u201d; and Netflix\u2019s \u201cLove on the Spectrum,\u201d \u201cBeyonc\u00e9 Bowl\u201d and \u201cOur Oceans,\u201d which could yield former president Barack Obama his third win for Outstanding Narrator.<\/p>\n
