Ricky Martin<\/strong><\/a> is livin\u2019 la vida grateful.<\/span><\/p>\n As the \u201cShe Bangs\u201d singer was presented with the first-ever Latin Icon Award\u00a0at the <\/span>2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/span><\/a> Sept. 7\u2014hosted by <\/span>LL Cool J<\/strong> at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.\u2014he shouted out his 17-year-old <\/span>twins <\/span>Matteo <\/strong>and <\/span>Valentino<\/strong><\/a>, 6-year-old daughter <\/span>Lucia<\/strong> and 5-year-old son <\/span>Renn<\/strong> during his speech.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI want to dedicate this award to my kids,” Ricky said after accepting the award from his friend Jessica Simpson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span> “Matteo, Valentino, Lucia and Renn, everything I do, I do it with you in my mind and in my heart.”<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to his kids, the 53-year-old also shouted out his fans.<\/span><\/p>\n “This is very simple: This is for you all,” he continued. “Thank you so much for your applause. I am addicted to your applause. That’s why I keep coming back. It’s you, not only here in America, but all over the world. Thank you so much.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n While Ricky rarely speaks publicly about his twins\u2014who were born via surrogate in 2008\u2014and their younger siblings\u2014who he shares with ex-husband <\/span>Jwan Yosef<\/strong>\u2014he has certainly made it a point to showcase their quality time online.<\/span><\/p>\n In February, the Grammy winner\u2014who, in addition to <\/span>Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong><\/a>, <\/span>Alex Warren<\/strong> and <\/span>J Balvin<\/strong><\/a>, also performed during the VMAs\u2014shared an <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a> roundup of his life as of late and included a snap of himself visiting Lucia\u2019s school to read to her classroom. He also shared a pic of his eldest sons enjoying a day of surfing at the beach.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
