Football Ferns playmaker Macey Fraser has left her United States club, Utah Royals, after the mutual termination of her contract.<\/b><\/p>\n

The National Women\u2019s Soccer League (NWSL) says Fraser\u2019s release allows her \u201cto pursue other opportunities\u201d.<\/p>\n

Fraser (23 made nine appearances in her two seasons with the Royals, of which four were in the starting line-up. She played 400 minutes for the club.<\/p>\n

During her time as a Royal, Fraser received a call-up to the Football Ferns for the 2024 Paris Olympics and made her Olympic debut, but was forced to come off due to injury in the opening game against Canada.<\/p>\n

Fraser landed a multi-year contract with the Royals in April 2024 in a deal which her Wellington Phoenix club described as \u2018smashing\u2019 the record transfer fee paid for a women\u2019s A-League player.<\/p>\n

Fraser had graduated from the Phoenix academy to sign a three-year professional agreement with the Nix in August 2023.<\/p>\n

She has made eight appearances for the Football Ferns, scoring two goals.<\/p>\n
