Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong> is speaking out following Sasha Farber<\/strong>‘s shocking departure from Dancing With The Stars<\/em>.<\/p>\n The three-time mirrorball champion reacted to his fellow pro being cut while being interviewed by Us Weekly<\/em> on the VMAs red carpet on Sunday, Sept. 7.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not personal,\u201d Chmerkovskiy said. \u201cIt\u2019s the nature of this business.\u201d<\/p>\n He conceded, however, that \u201cit\u2019s personal for anybody who\u2019s invested\u201d in the show and the dancers. Along with Farber, Chmerkovskiy’s sister-in-law Peta Murgatroyd<\/strong> will not be on season 34 after previously expressing interest in coming back to the show<\/a>.<\/p>\n RELATED: Sasha Farber Breaks Silence After Being Cut From \u2018DWTS\u2019 Season 34<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe way I\u2019m speaking about\u00a0Dancing with the Stars<\/em>\u00a0[is] the same way they feel about that sort of stuff,\u201d Chmerkovskiy continued, having explained to the outlet the “gravity” of still being on the show as it approaches its 20th anniversary season.<\/p>\n He concluded, \u201cSo it definitely hurts,\u201d saying that \u201cbreakups happen in life\u201d and the show must go on.<\/p>\n The full cast of celebrities and their professional partners was revealed on the Wednesday, Sept. 3 episode of Good Morning America<\/em>. Wow, so many good names. Who are you going to vote for? I mean, I know who I\u2019m going to vote for. I know who you\u2019re not going to vote for \u2014 That\u2019s me.\u201d he said during a video posted to his Instagram Story Sept. 3.<\/p>\n \u201cBut that\u2019s okay. You know what? Thank you all so much for all your incredible messages. I read them all, I see it all, I adore you, I definitely don\u2019t deserve you because you guys are amazing.\u00a0I love you<\/a>,\u00a0thank you<\/a>\u00a0so much,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd this is going to be quite a season because there\u2019s so many [frontrunners]. Like, who\u2019s going to win? Anyone could win. This is going to be great, and I can\u2019t wait to cheer. Love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n Farber was a professional dancer on seasons 17, 22-24, and 26-33. He was on the dance troupe from seasons 13-16, 18-21, and 25 but will not be returning to it this season.
