Momsen replied, \u201cInteresting\u2026 I kind of think I\u2019ve left acting behind.\u201d<\/p>\n The 32-year-old singer continued to talk about her experience as a child actor. \u201cI think it was a childhood thing for me, but it was an experience that I cherish and is part of who I am,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Grinch, I think, in particular, holds an incredibly special place in my heart and always will, so that\u2019s something that comes around every year,\u201d Momsen shared. \u201cAnd I finally realized that I am Cindy Lou Who, if that makes sense, so that\u2019s something that has been incredibly special and always will be.\u201d<\/p>\n The Gossip Girl actor had also spoken about her decision to leave acting during the podcast, Podcrushed, in 2023.<\/p>\n She revealed, \u201c[Acting] was a childhood thing that I got put into at 2 years old. I wasn\u2019t making my own choices then.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLiterally, as soon as I got to an age where I could make my own decisions, it was like a click,\u201d Momsen continued. \u201cI don\u2019t know exactly what happened, but it\u2019s like I woke up one morning and went, \u2018Wait a second. I don\u2019t have to do this other job? And I can just play in my band, tour, and write songs?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe answer was yes, like, you can.\u201d She continued, \u201cIt was like a light bulb went off and I uprooted and changed my whole life kind of overnight.\u201d<\/p>\n Momsen concludes by appreciating the Gossip Girl showrunners, who wrote her out of the show.
