The deal kicks off with the Lagos-set action-thriller \u201cSon of the Soil,\u201d directed by British Chinese filmmaker Chee Keong Cheung (\u201cRedcon-1\u201d), which Nile Entertainment will be releasing theatrically across Africa, as\u00a0<em>Variety<\/em>\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/global\/nile-entertainment-african-rights-son-of-the-soil-action-xtreme-1236400468\/\">previously announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cSon of the Soil\u201d stars British Nigerian actor-writer Razaaq Adoti (\u201cBlack Hawk Down,\u201d \u201cResident Evil: Apocalypse\u201d) as a former Nigerian Special Ops paratrooper who returns home after the murder of his sister. When he finds his community overrun by a violent drug cartel, he sets off on an emotionally charged fight for justice and redemption.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFilmed entirely in Nigeria, \u201cSon of the Soil\u201d is produced by Sovereign Films\u2019 Andreas Roald (\u201cTriangle of Sadness\u201d), Ioanna Karavela (\u201cBad Day at the Office,\u201d \u201cRedcon-1\u201d), Chee Keong Cheung (\u201cThe Experiment\u201d) and Razaaq Adoti, in association with Wingonia Ikpi\u2019s Boxonia Blueprint, whose producing credits include Nigerian box-office sensations \u201cIjakumo\u201d and \u201cSugar Rush 2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe cast features Iretiola Olusola Doyle, Patience Ozokwo and Sunshine Rosman, alongside Toyin Oshionke, Damilola Ogunsi, Taye Arimoro and Philip Asaya.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAction Xtreme, a studio supported by Sovereign Media Capital, describes itself as dedicated to building grassroots talent and producing bold, action-driven stories for international markets.
