The Prince and Princess of Wales have made a special visit to honour Queen Elizabeth II on the third anniversary of her death.<\/p>\n

William and Kate were at the Women\u2019s Institute in Sunningdale, Berkshire to share memories of the late Queen and to support the work of an organisation that was very close to her heart.<\/p>\n

Prince William\u2019s attendance had been announced on the morning of the anniversary but Kate\u2019s arrival was a surprise until just a few minutes before their car drew up.<\/p>\n

The WI was very important to Queen Elizabeth II and she was a member for over 80 years. She was also president of her local branch at Sandringham.<\/p>\n

The organisation, officially known as the National Federation of Women\u2019s Institutes, brings together women from all walks of life to share stories and activities. It\u2019s described as a a safe place for women to come together and take part in a range of events as well as to work together to bring positive change.<\/p>\n

On the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s death<\/a>, the Prince and Princess of Wales spoke to current members about their ongoing activities and how they feel the WI has helped them and they\u2019ve supported it.<\/p>\n

The Prince of Wales was in a black suit and black tie while the Princess of Wales chose grey and black checked dress for the visit which comes as the Royal Family<\/a> remains in official mourning for the Duchess of Kent who died on September 4 at the age of 92.<\/p>\n

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 2022 at Balmoral. King Charles is currently at the Scottish castle and is expected to spend the day in quiet contemplation. Queen Camilla is with him.<\/p>\n

As the anniversary of Elizabeth II\u2019s death got under way, the Royal Family shared a beautiful image of Her Late Majesty to mark the moment.<\/p>\n
