Bestselling author Stephen King<\/a> over the weekend revealed the one possible plot twist in the Donald Trump<\/a> presidency that truly gives him chills. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThe worst thing that I could think of is that this guy would get a third term because he\u2019s basically an idiot, isn\u2019t he?\u201d King told MSNBC<\/a>\u2019s Ali Velshi<\/a> in an interview that aired Saturday. \u201cI mean, he doesn\u2019t read.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

King, a longtime critic of the president, said Trump believes he can\u2019t do anything wrong. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThat is a dangerous thing,\u201d King said. \u201cHe is basically, I don\u2019t want to use the word \u2018crazy,\u2019 because I don\u2019t really think that he is, but he\u2019s certainly dangerous.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Velshi had asked King about a Q&A with The Guardian<\/a> last month in which the author was asked to give the Trump presidency an ending. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A good ending, he said in the interview, would be impeachment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI would love to see him retired, let\u2019s put it that way,\u201d King said. \u201cThe bad ending would be that he gets a third term and takes things over completely. It\u2019s a horror story either way. Trump is a horror story, isn\u2019t he?\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

King\u2019s newest book, \u201cNever Flinch,\u201d came out in May. He also has multiple projects on the small screen, including \u201cThe Institute,\u201d recently out on MGM+, and \u201cIt: Welcome To Derry\u201d on HBO next month, as well as film adaptations of \u201cThe Long Walk\u201d in theaters later this week and \u201cThe Running Man\u201d coming out in November.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
