Paula Deen<\/strong> is stirring the pot.<\/p>\n

The 78-year-old celebrity chef debuted her documentary Canceled: The Paula Deen Story at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, September 6 \u2014 and in the film, she addresses her feud with fellow chef Anthony Bourdain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnthony Bourdain did call me the most dangerous woman in America,\u201d Deen recalled in the documentary, before footage flashed to journalists in 2011 saying how the travel documentarian described her as the \u201cworst, most dangerous person in America,\u201d per Entertainment Weekly.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not Southern food she\u2019s been selling,\u201d the late Bourdain said in one clip in which he slammed Deen\u2019s cooking. \u201cHer brand has been all these years, novelty food.\u201d<\/p>\n

The doc recalled how the food network star hit back at Bourdain\u2019s remarks on The Joy Behar Show, critiquing his cuisine at the time \u2014 and in her present-day documentary interview, she did the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what he was off in these foreign countries eating. Bat brains or something like that,\u201d she stated in her interview. \u201cI think I\u2019ll just stick with my fried chicken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another clip features Bourdain calling back to Deen\u2019s remarks in a 2012 interview with Prevention magazine<\/a>, in which she responded, \u201cI know he\u2019s had his demons, and I hope they\u2019re under control,\u201d when asked what she would serve him for dinner.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s probably still shooting dope, is probably what she\u2019s saying in a nice kind of Southern way,\u201d Bourdain responded at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe started something with me, and I\u2019d never even met him,\u201d Deen said towards the end of the segment, before footage flashed to her trying to get Bourdain to try one of her home-cooked meals.<\/p>\n

The last clip features Bourdain telling a journalist that a \u201cnuclear war\u201d would have to take place for him to be willing to try Deen\u2019s food.<\/p>\n

The former Paula\u2019s Home Cooking host also commented on Bourdain\u2019s death by suicide in June 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod rest his soul. I felt like he didn\u2019t like anybody,\u201d she said. \u201cNot even himself, maybe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
