Roberts also appeared to be in disbelief, asking Polidoro, \u201cCan you repeat that? Now that the #MeToo era and the Black Lives Matter [movements] are done, what do we have to expect in Hollywood? And what we lost, we lost something, with the politically correct era.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Edebiri, who listened to the question with a visibly shocked expression, immediately answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, I know that that\u2019s not for me, and I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s purposeful it\u2019s not for me, but I just am curious. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s done. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s done at all,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\">\u201cI think maybe hashtags might not be used as much, but I do think that there\u2019s work being done by activists, by people, every day, that\u2019s beautiful, important work that\u2019s not finished \u2014 that\u2019s really, really,\u00a0really\u00a0active for a reason, \u2019cause this world is really charged. And that work isn\u2019t finished at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Andrew Garfield and Julia Roberts also appeared perplexed at Italian journalist Federica Polodoro\u2019s question, which seemed to suggest \u201cthe political correct era\u201d of Hollywood was done.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><figcaption>Edebiri answered the question \u2014 despite Polidoro specifically directing it to Garfield and Roberts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Garfield and Roberts showed their agreement as \u201cThe Bear\u201d star, 29, continued to answer the question.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\">\u201cMaybe there\u2019s not mainstream coverage in the way that there might have been, daily headlines in the way that it might have been eight or so years ago, but I don\u2019t think that it means that the work is done.
